DAY 3 - JARDIN ENCANTADO

Jardin Encantado or "Enchanted Garden" is the garden at the residence of Doña Leonora in the village of San Francisco de Sales.  She loves hummingbirds and started  hanging feeders for them nearly 35 years ago. Hundreds of them as well as other birds feed here regularly at the 40 feeders she maintains for them.  Fortunately for all of us hummingbird lovers, she opened up her home to the public several years ago.

We spent the morning photographing here before leaving for the Bogota airport for our flight to Pereira.

Two new species for me here were the Indigo-capped Hummingbird and the White-vented Plumeleteer.  There were also many rufous-tailed, Black-throated Mangos and Lesser Violetears.
