The Praying Mantis Has Found Her Territory

It seems that my Praying Mantis has claimed one of the bee water dishes as her territory. She was there last night and again tonight. I love bees, but if this keeps her off of the hummingbird feeders, she can stay there. She only eats one per day. If she lays eggs, though, I will have to find the egg case and move it off the deck. I don’t need hundreds of them next year!

I’m trying to figure out what kind of mantis this one is. It definitely is not a Chinese Mantis – the wings are too short. Anyone?
